Axiom works closely with clients to construct residential and commercial buildings that stand the test of time. Moving into their new office in downtown Vancouver, they were eager to install an eye-catching LED wall to “WOW” visitors coming into the space.
As Axiom’s chosen digital signage company, 10net was able to provide them with the most technically advanced digital displays; Samsung’s IEA 1.5mm DVLED. Working with their interior design team, the ‘corner’ concept was chosen so that the display wrapped around the corner of the wall and could be seen as people approached the front door. The screens were installed recessed into the wall to maintain all the technical requirements for heat, airflow and serviceability.
This unique and sophisticated installation project wasn’t without its challenges; 10net had complex and custom mounting requirements. Each fragile DVLED display needed to have individual movement to provide ample airflow, as this is the only way to maintain the integrity, life span, and content of the displays.
10net’s adaptability, both technically and creatively, allowed them to accomplish a fully immersive yet ambient display system with success. Overall, the goal was to have a digital display system that would “WOW” anyone coming into the office.
BlueShore wanted to create a unique visual experience for the newly built corporate headquarters in North Vancouver. This consisted of a wall featuring ambient ‘art glass lighting’ and a 36” cement column. BlueShore wanted the experience to be unique and to complement their ‘Financial Spa’ brand.
The synchronized content shown on all displays, giving a continuous and cohesive feel really sets the tone for the corporate office. It features the beautiful West Coast imagery intrinsic to the BlueShore Financial brand designed to engage and inspire clients and visitors.
BlueShore Financial branch locations wanted to create a personalized digital experience that kept their customers coming back into their branches.
BlueShore Financial selected 10net Focus to incorporate digital screens in all of their branches to communicate important product & services information, and to also create a unique customer experience using digital imagery.
Our solution included using digital displays at bank tellers and ATM’s. One unique element of the project included a custom screen install that looked like art pieces hung throughout the branch.
Our dedicated managed services offering gives BlueShore the peace of mind that all systems are secure and performing well.
Kal Tire is one of North America’s largest commercial tire dealers, with over 250 retail and commercial stores across Canada. The Kal Tire Group earned its reputation by always holding themselves to the highest standards for both product quality and service. Beyond their own business, these standards extend to who they also decide to work with. Which is why they chose 10net as their exclusive supplier for digital signage with support across the country. 10net was thrilled to break into the automotive industry through digital shop signs.
Starting in 2013, Kal Tire launched an initiative to create consistency across all the various Kal Tire store layouts and wanted a digital signage platform they could use to both promote in-house services and advertise their various partners and vendors, creating additional revenue streams. After completing a successful pilot program, Kal Tire chose 10net to supply hardware, software, electrical, full installation, managed services and support, and ongoing digital signage content management.
10net’s digital signage solution for Kal Tire’s stores is based on two commercial displays, using custom aluminum mounting plates and brackets to create a compact and easily-serviced package. At stores with large outdoor street-facing LED signage, 10net’s solution is designed around a wireless bridge, extending the store’s network out to the curb (up to 200’). Allowing the sign’s equipment to remain fully managed and remotely supported via 10net’s cloud-based management platform.
10net and Kal Tire were highly pleased with the outcome of these projects. So pleased that in 2019, 10net began an ambitious program to proactively replace the oldest digital signage installations across Canada with updated equipment.
More of a promotional board for Wetzel’s – only show product but no pricing (b/c it’s an impulse buy) – this is what the screens are for and why they’re important – dynamic animation that drives foot traffic to the business.
Previous company was an AV partner, more of an installation company (sold hardware and installed it) – didn’t know how to support a digital signage network, which involves servers, software, content, content management, schedules, and playlists
Had 1 piece of the puzzle
Spec’ed a bunch of hardware that didn’t meet the mark and wasn’t the best solution (cheap but didn’t function well or have all the features of a commercial grade screen)
System on chip commercial grade screen – easier to install and support, better warranties when things break
Sold and hung a TV – tried to add software and didn’t know how to support – slow response times, significant downtimes, scheduling content mistakes, and then wanted to back out
A vendor of ours who was also a vendor of the AV company made the referral – they didn’t want to do anything beyond selling and installing
Running servers/software and diagnosing
We took their infrastructure and put our resources around it to make it better
Scheduling and response times immediately faster
construction/facilities/operations is the liaison here
Excessive downtime, excessive locations menu boards not working, not having the right things at the right location, v cumbersome experience. Only one dedicated support person and not strong on signage or digital software side.
How We Solved It
Took all existing stuff and migrated it into our ecosystem v easily Immediately starting seeing changes – better responsiveness to requests for content updates and changes, and troubleshooting network performance issues (faster issue resolution and response)
AV team couldn’t troubleshoot and had to have a guy on site to try and do this but it was usually a software issue – didn’t understand the system and would waste 6 hours on site at $100/hr
No need to have a real-life technician visit and interrupt service (remote servicing is way less intrusive than on-site) – less impact on the business, especially food businesses
Service-level objective is to respond within the hour and resolution within 24 hours whereas previously it would have been at least the next business day to have someone come out – reduced response time from within 24 hours or more to within the hour
The Results
300 new displays
New capabilities for the franchisees
80 locations on old hardware that we’re supporting through end of lifecycle
Equipment failure and end of life support
Deployed new locations and remodels
Strategy for better ways to use the system – marketing people – recommendations for new tech to add in
Being one piece of a much larger puzzle

20 Strategies to Enhance Your Existing Digital Signage Network
You may not have the same needs as Osaka’s Glico running man signage… but it’s still cool nonetheless.
In the digital age, communication is key to the success of any business. As we navigate through this era of rapid technological advancement, businesses must adapt and evolve to meet the changing expectations of employees, customers, and visitors. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is through a robust and dynamic digital signage network.
Digital signage has revolutionized the way businesses communicate, offering a modern, engaging, and eco-friendly solution for sharing information. From displaying real-time metrics to enhancing visitor experience, digital signage has a wide range of applications that can transform your business operations (and sales).
However, implementing a digital signage network is just the first step. To truly harness the power of digital signage, businesses must continually assess and enhance their network to ensure it remains effective, reliable, and relevant.
Whether you’re experiencing issues with screen downtime, inconsistent content, network reliability, or content updates, there are strategies you can employ to improve your network. This white paper explores 20 strategies to enhance your existing digital signage network, providing practical advice and examples to help you overcome common challenges and maximize your digital signage solution. Without further ado, let’s get right into it!
Embrace Modernity: Digital signage is dynamic and visually appealing. If your current system feels outdated, consider a refresh. For example, replace static images with engaging video content or interactive elements.
Go Green: Digital signage can help reduce your carbon footprint. If you’re still using print materials for announcements, switch these to digital formats and reduce waste.
Boost Productivity: A well-managed digital signage network can save your staff time. For instance, instead of manually updating each sign, use a system that allows bulk updates from a central location.
Unify Your Communications: Ensure consistent messaging across all locations with a central content management system. For example, share company-wide announcements simultaneously across all screens.
Target Your Content: Deliver specific content to individual screens or screen zones. For instance, display cafeteria menus on screens near the dining area and meeting schedules near conference rooms.
Automate Updates: Keep your audience informed with automated updates. For example, integrate your signage with a news feed to display the latest industry news without manual updates.
Enhance Safety: In emergencies, digital signage can display crucial alerts. For instance, integrate with a weather alert system to automatically display warnings during severe weather.
Engage Your Employees: Boost morale and productivity by displaying recognition, real-time metrics, and progress towards goals. For example, display an “Employee of the Month” feature or a live sales leaderboard.
Never Miss an Update: Ensure important updates are never missed. For instance, display HR updates like policy changes or upcoming events on screens in common areas.
Streamline Meeting Room Bookings: Integrate your calendaring system with your digital signage to display room availability and streamline bookings. For example, screens outside meeting rooms display current bookings and availability.
Advertise Effectively: Use your digital signage to advertise new products or services. For example, display promotions or new product features in high-traffic areas.
Improve Visitor Experience: Displaying queuing data can reduce perceived wait times. For instance, in a customer service area, display queue lengths and estimated wait times.
Empower Your Visitors: Interactive wayfinding and directories can improve visitor experience. For example, install an interactive directory in your lobby to help visitors navigate your building.
Monetize Your Signage: Sell ad space on your digital signs to nearby vendors. For example, if you’re a hotel, display ads for local restaurants or attractions.
Minimize Downtime: Ensure your screens are always up and running with a reliable digital signage solution. For instance, choose a solution with robust technical support to resolve any issues quickly.
Ensure Content Consistency: A central content management system can help ensure uniformity. For example, use templates for your messages to maintain a consistent look and feel across all screens.
Strengthen Your Network: If your network is unreliable, consider investing in network enhancements. For instance, upgrade to a more robust network infrastructure to support high-quality video content.
Simplify Content Updates: Make updating content quick and easy. For example, choose a system that allows remote updates, so you can change content anytime, anywhere.
Scale with Ease: Choose a solution designed for easy expansion. For example, if you’re planning to open new locations, ensure your digital signage solution can easily accommodate additional screens.
Invest in Training: Ensure your staff is well-trained to manage your digital signage network. For instance, provide regular training sessions on how to update content, schedule messages, and troubleshoot common issues.
Remember, the right digital signage solution can transform your business communication, improve employee engagement, enhance visitor experience, and even become a source of revenue. Use this list as a guide to identify areas for improvement in your current system and make the most of your digital signage network.

6 Ways Digital Signage Can Transform Your Brand's Customer Experience
Reigning Champ is a Vancouver-based athletic apparel brand known for their uncompromising quality
When a customer walks in, they expect personalized and engaging experiences from the moment they come through the door. If you’re here, you already know that digital signage is a powerful tool that can transform your brand’s customer experience and create a lasting impression.
Specifically, we’re referring to electronic displays that showcase content such as images, information, videos and animations. These displays can be placed anywhere including storefronts, shopping malls, sales centers, and restaurants to grab attention and communicate important information. In some cases, digital signage can even help automate the customer journey.
Here are 6 ways we see our clients using digital signage to transform their customer experience.
1. Captivating and Interactive Displays
By using high-quality visuals, animations, and videos, digital signage can convey your brand’s message in a visually appealing way. Interactive displays can also engage customers with touchscreens and sensors, allowing them to interact with your brand in unique ways. Check out the video below to see how we helped The News in Abbotsford create an interactive experience for their guests.
2. Personalized Messaging
Digital signage allows you to display personalized messages to customers based on their location, interests, and behaviour. By using data analytics, you can understand your customers’ preferences and display targeted content to meet their needs. This creates a personalized experience that can make them feel valued and appreciated.
3. Real-Time Updates
Are you able to provide real-time updates on promotions, events, and company news? This can keep people informed about your brand and create a sense of urgency to take action. For example, if a restaurant has a special offer for the day, digital signage can display the promotion instantly to attract customers who are passing by.
4. Increased Engagement & Sales
By highlighting your key features and benefits, digital signage can convince customers to make a purchase or try out a service. In fact, studies have shown that digital signage can increase sales by up to 30%. We always recommend our clients do their best to feature any unique selling propositions they might have within their digital signage strategy. Check out the video below on how we helped Wetzel’s Pretzels overhaul their digital signage solutions and increase sales through real-time promotional updates to their menu.
5. Consistent Branding
Digital signage can help reinforce your brand’s image and messaging by displaying consistent branding across all displays. This can create a cohesive and memorable brand experience that customers will associate with your business and remember long term.
6. Improved Customer Service
Believe it or not, digital signage can also improve customer service by providing helpful information and directions at the right times. For example, shopping malls can display a map of the mall and the location of stores, making it easier for customers to navigate. This can reduce customer frustration and enhance their overall experience.
These are just some basic ways brands can use digital signage to their advantage. Whether it’s through captivating and interactive displays, personalized messaging, real-time updates, increased engagement and sales or consistent branding, there is no doubt digital signage (if installed by experts) can transform your customer journey. By leveraging it, you can create a memorable and lasting impression on your customers, and ultimately increase loyalty and sales time and time again.
If you need any advice or have any questions about the direction of your digital signage strategy, we’d love to help!
